Good stuff! I find this especially true with advertising (TV, Youtube, Spotify, Radio) where if it's a business or stock I've studied a jolt of heightened awareness to closely pay attention comes over me, versus if it's something I am unfamiliar with my mind will immediately wander to think about other things and I will completely block it out.

I love that cocktail party analogy. Although I wouldn’t have phrased it so well, this is one of the reasons I became comfortable taking small “starter positions”. Once you own a little you start to see things a different way. Good stuff. Thanks!

Thanks Brian, and very well said. I hadn't actually thought of that (impetus for small start positions) in relation to this when writing it, would have been a worthy inclusion.
